Connect AI to Confluence on each person's permissions

Secure MCP turns your Confluence site into an MCP server inside Atlassian Cloud. Claude, Cursor, VS Code and other AI clients search and edit pages as the person using them, never with more access.

Runs on Atlassian

AI access an admin can sign off on

Each person connects their own AI client with their own token. You decide how far that access reaches.

Runs as the user

The app calls Confluence as the owner of the token, so an assistant only sees pages that person can already open.

Named tokens with an expiry

Up to 10 tokens per person, one per client or device, each read only or read and write, valid for up to 90 days.

Narrower scope when you need it

Limit the tools to chosen spaces or an extra CQL filter, on top of each person’s own permissions.

Pages, comments and attachments

Search, read, create and update pages, add footer or inline comments, and read or attach files up to 3.5 MB.

One-click client setup

Download a Claude Desktop extension, use an install link for Cursor or VS Code, or copy the config for other clients.

Tokens and audit in one place

Admins see every token, the client it last connected from, and an audit entry for each call.

From install to the first answer

  1. Step 1

    Install and set the scope

A Confluence admin installs the app and, if needed, limits it to certain spaces or a CQL filter.

  2. Step 2

    Connect a client

Each person opens the Connect Secure MCP page, creates a token and runs the setup for their AI client.

  3. Step 3

    Ask the assistant

The client calls tools like confluence_search_pages, and every call runs as that person.
